Quantum RX announces the commercialization of the very first “double purge” Libs analyzer in the world with air and / or argon modes: the Z-9 from the American manufacturer SciAps. It stands out for its flexibility allowing it to meet the essential needs of the metals industry for sorting aluminum alloys, titanium and stainless steels. In standard mode, the Z-9 performs most of the analyzes, in air, for 6 alloy bases (Al, Ti, stainless steels, Fe, Ni and Cu). In particular, it can detect up to 10 ppm of Be contamination in aluminum and copper. In argon mode, the optional addition of an argon purge allows more precise analyzes or more difficult materials. In this configuration, Z-9 can measure up to 10 ppm B in aluminum. The device automatically integrates the calibrations for analyzes with air and / or argon purge, the operator thus passes from one analysis method to another in a transparent manner.
The Z-9 analyzer is the 3rd generation of SciAps Libs, a world leader in the market of mobile Libs. It performs its analyzes in just 1 second. It is lighter than the Libs analyzers in its range with a weight of only 1.8 kg with battery, for dimensions of 25 x 5 x 20 cm. It is suitable for use in Class 1 conditions (with safety devices activated).
The Z-9 comes with a library of 500 alloy shades, expandable or changeable at any time.
On the equipment side, it has an internal camera associated with a flatter front plate allowing the analysis of curved or irregular surfaces. The camera is matched with a laser sight to aim the sample. An additional micro-camera is used for barcode reading and photo-documentation for report generation. The 2.7 '' high-brightness color touchscreen faces the rear for easy reading. The analyzer is connected (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB ports) and running Android for data export.
