Following the announcement of the Covid-19 vaccine, JRI (MMS Group) offers a dedicated, ready-to-use low-temperature monitoring solution. Based on the strengths of new IoT technologies, Nano SPY T3 ensures accurate and reliable measurements, in compliance with current normative and regulatory requirements. A decisive solution for a vaccine requiring compliance with the cold chain and storage conditions at -80°C.
The obligation to monitor the cold chain
The composition of the Covid-19 vaccine derived from gene therapy means that it must be stored at very low temperatures. All those involved in vaccine distribution must take the necessary steps to maintain the cold chain, and ensure that storage conditions are maintained at a temperature of -80°C.
To meet these requirements, JRI has designed the Nano SPY T3 Pack for monitoring Covid19 Special Vaccine low-temperature chambers. It comprises a Nano SPY T3 mini-temperature logger, a Nano SPY Link measurement transmission module, and a 36-month subscription to the JRI MySirius monitoring application (in level advanced).
A turnkey solution for monitoring heat-sensitive products stored in a very low-temperature enclosure
The Nano SPY T3 temperature logger is designed for monitor and record temperatures inside -80°C freezers, cryogenic tanks and other low-temperature enclosures. It features an external PT100 stainless steel probe that measures over a range from -200°C to 0°C, with an accuracy of ±0.2°C from -20°C to 0°C and ±0.5°C outside this range. Easy to use, the Nano SPY T3 is ready to use and features operating and alarm LEDs. It can be mounted on equipment via eyelets or via a magnet integrated into the case.
It comes with a quick-start guide containing all the information you need to set up the monitoring system. The logger transmits its measurements to the nearby Nano SPY Link module, using 2.4 GHz radio frequency communication. The Nano SPY Link automatically sends the measurements collected to JRI's secure Cloud, where they are hosted and secured. The JRI MySirius web-based temperature monitoring application enables measurements to be supervised and evaluated. It features an intuitive, user-friendly interface, accessible from PC, tablet or smartphone.
If tolerated temperature thresholds are exceeded, alerts by email, SMS and/or voice call are transmitted immediately to take corrective action and save the goods.
MySirius JRI application in levels advanced is CFR Part 11 compliant, and includes 36 months of measurement consultation, data archiving, full activity log, metrological sensor management and many other features designed to meet the quality needs of pharmacists and pharmaceutical wholesalers. All data is hosted on Microsoft's ultra-secure "Azure" servers to meet security requirements. Technical support is available on request.
Qualification of low-temperature equipment: another obligation
In line with good distribution practice, freezers must be periodically qualified. Qualification of refrigeration and freezing equipment enables us to check their performance and stability, to ensure the preservation of sensitive products.
JRI works in close collaboration with CIET Pharma teams, specialized in the inspection of equipment and facilities for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. They qualify equipment to ensure optimum storage conditions, with reports that comply with health authority requirements.
