It's certainly hard to keep up with trade show schedules... The health crisis, the economic crisis and decisions by companies and organizers are all upsetting the calendar for upcoming shows. Originally, the International Microtechnology and Precision Exhibition was scheduled to take place in September 2020 in Besançon, as it does every even-numbered year... Faced with the crisis, the association Micronora had decided to postpone its edition by one year. and then return to the normal schedule. In other words, a Micronora in September 2021 and another Micronora in September 2022. This change in schedule had caused quite a stir among stakeholders in other measurement-related events, part of the Micronora show's nomenclature.
A new change with the announcement by the Micronora office of outright cancellation of Micronora 2021. The organizers point out that in May 2020 it seemed wise to postpone the show until 2021, but a survey carried out at the beginning of the year to gather exhibitors' opinions and expectations of the show proved to be the right decision.
The organizers are now focusing on the next edition of the Micronora show, to be held from September 27 to 30, 2022.
Thierry Bisiaux, President: " We're disappointed that we won't be able to hold a show in 2021; we've been waiting impatiently for this resumption, but current conditions don't allow us to organize an international event of this scale with the guarantee of quality we all expect. This early announcement will help to avoid any wasted expenditure for exhibitors and Micronora. The team is already mobilized to make the 2022 edition a show of renewal! ".
Sandra Liardon, Manager : "We are convinced that face-to-face meetings, networking and "live" experiences remain essential, especially when it comes to technologies and industrial innovations. However, this health crisis will have accelerated our digital transformation, enabling us to expand the Micronora community, particularly internationally. Our team is actively working on the 2022 edition, to propose appropriate solutions and a new approach to the trade show medium.
