HBK has developed new CMC piezoelectric force measurement chains offering over 200 configuration combinations, ideal for a wide range of industrial measurement applications, including assembly and press-fit operations.
Users are free to choose the right transducer for the required measuring force, rated load capacity and desired overload range. The choice of amplifier depends exclusively on the force to be measured, ensuring a high output signal and high resolution.
Each measurement chain consists of a transducer, a cable, a charge amplifier and an associated test protocol. The protocol provides information on the force expressed in newtons and the output signal expressed in volts. To enhance accuracy, HBK also provides calibration results over several force ranges.
Load cables are available in various lengths to facilitate integration. Since transducer deflection is negligible, CMC force measurement chains are particularly well suited to fast measurement and force-displacement monitoring applications. What's more, all HBK force transducers are IP65-rated.
A digital input enables the charge amplifier to be reset, while another provides a zoom function to increase the amplifier's sensitivity.
Force transducers with ranges from 5 kN to 120 kN are available. Charge amplifiers feature input ranges from 1000 pC to 482,000 pC, with nominal measurement ranges from 125 N to 120 kN.
