HBK has developed new CMC piezoelectric force measurement chains offering more than 200 configuration combinations, ideal for many industrial measurement applications, including assembly or installation operations.
Users are free to choose the sensor that is suitable for the required measurement force, rated load capacity and desired overload range. The choice of amplifier depends exclusively on the strength to be measured, allowing for a high output signal and high resolution.
Each measurement chain consists of a sensor, a cable, a load amplifier and an associated testing protocol. The protocol provides information on the force expressed in newtons and the output signal expressed in volts. To improve the degree of accuracy, HBK also provides calibration results across several strength ranges.
Load cables are available in different lengths to facilitate integration. Because sensor deflection is negligible, CMC force measurement chains are particularly well suited for rapid measurement and force-movement monitoring applications. In addition, all HBK measurement chains meet the IP65 protection index.
A TOR input allows a reset of the load amplifier and another a zoom function that increases the sensitivity of the amplifier.
Strength sensors from a range of 5 kN to 120 kN are available. The load amplifiers have input ranges ranging from 1000 pC to 482,000 pC, with the rated measurement ranges ranged from 125 N to 120 kN.
