Checking temperature sensors up to 450oC

With its new portable calibrators TP 37450E.2 and TP 37450E.2i with a 2-way recording capacity, Sika accelerates the calibration process of temperature sensors. The large volume of their 60 x 150 mm enclosure allows several temperature sensors to be calibrated up to 450oC simultaneously (with the same compact equipment). In addition, the patented ventilation system guarantees very short temperature rise and fall times, significantly reducing the time spent checking.

The heating time is just 17 minutes to stabilize the calibrator at 450oC while the enclosure is cooled to room temperature in just 36 minutes. The dry well direct ventilation system, developed by SIKA and integrated for the first time in the TP 37450E.2, simply achieves the fastest cooling times on the market for portable temperature calibrators. This ultimately leads to a significant reduction in the cost of the verification point.

However, such productivity gains are not achieved at the expense of measurement performance. These multifunctional dry wells retain high-level measurement characteristics. In particular, they offer a ± 0.2oC display accuracy with a stability of ± 0.010 degrees Celsius. They also incorporate a 7" LCD industrial touch screen, through which the user is guided in his task by an intuitive menu tree. This simplifies and speeds up the verification of a large number of sensors with a single instrument.

With 40 years of expertise in the field, Sika is pushing the limits of typical temperatures supported by most calibrators on the market (which until now did not exceed 350 degrees Celsius) to 450 degrees Celsius.

According to Sika, the TP 37450E.2 thus becomes the only multifunction calibrator for the control of different temperature sensors in the average temperature segment. In addition to dry-block verification, it can also calibrate infrared thermometers and surface probes. A single device is therefore required for various configurations and thus contributes to a saving of space and less material investment.
