Engineering measures offers a compact and lightweight portable multi-gas detector. According to the company, the GX-3R portable gas detector from Japanese manufacturer Riken Keiki is the smallest personal four-gas detector on the market. It weighs only 100 grams and measures only 55 mm wide x 64 mm high x 26 mm deep. It incorporates the latest evolution of ultracompact Rsensor microsensor, of unique design. These features allow it to be carried comfortably in a breathing area. It simultaneously monitors and displays 4 LEL, O2, H2S and CO gases. The GX-3R PRO detects up to 5 gases.
The GX-3R is robustly designed for IP68 and withstands seven-metre falls and 1 metre immersion. As an option, Health and Safety defines the breathing area as a 25 cm radius around the wearer's nose and mouth and requires that exposure air samples be collected. Air sampling filters can be attached to the collar or lapel of a garment. The GX-3R Pro communicates via Bluetooth with the RK-Link app, which displays live playback and configures the device on a phone or tablet.
