Engineering mesures offers a compact, lightweight portable multi-gas detector. According to the company, the GX-3R portable gas detector from Japanese manufacturer Riken Keiki is the smallest personal four-gas detector on the market. It weighs just 100 grams and measures just 55 mm wide x 64 mm high x 26 mm deep. It incorporates the latest evolution of the ultra-compact R microsensor, with its unique design. These features enable it to be worn comfortably in the breathing zone. It simultaneously monitors and displays 4 gases: LEL, O2, H2S and CO. The GX-3R PRO model detects up to 5 gases.
With its robust IP68 design, the GX-3R detector withstands drops of up to seven meters and immersion of up to 1 meter. As an option, Health and Safety defines the breathing zone as a 25 cm radius around the wearer's nose and mouth, and requires exposure air samples to be collected there. Air sampling filters can be attached to the collar or lapel of a garment. The GX-3R Pro communicates via Bluetooth with the RK-Link app, which enables live readings to be displayed and the device to be configured on a phone or tablet.
