Public buildings need to improve ventilation and air filtration and air treatment plants (ACTs) play a key role in preventing risks due to Covid 19. For example, reference can be made to the fundamental recommendations published by the Epidemics Working Group of the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (Ashrae).
According to Wika, this is precisely an area in which the Wika air2guide range of measuring instruments is particularly well suited for:
– Maintain at least the minimum rate of renewal of indoor-outdoor air
– Limit the recirculation of contaminated air
– Maintain an equivalent supply of clean air for a certain occupancy rate

The A2G-20 air speed transmitter and the A2G-25 airflow transmitter are involved in the accurate measurement of the amount of outdoor air entering the HVAC unit, and can both monitor indoor air flow to promote ambient air mixing without increasing person-to-person transmission.
Meanwhile, the A2G-85 detection system measures the level of CO2 in a room and the A2G-80 detects volatile organic compounds (VOCs) as well as other vapors – body odors, tobacco smoke, food odors – in indoor air. Both devices are mounted in the return ducts.
