Micro-Epsilon's optoNCDT 1900LL sensors are designed for distance measurement on metallic and structured surfaces. These sensors use a small laser line to achieve precise measurements on non-homogeneous surfaces.
Mainly used in factory automation, electronics manufacturing, robotics and the automotive industry, these sensors solve highly precise measurement tasks on metallic, rough and structured surfaces in the 10 mm and 25 mm measuring ranges.
A special cylindrical lens expands the ordinary light spot into an oval light spot. Optical averaging via the light spot compensates for surface unevenness. In addition, intelligent algorithms optimize the signal.
This laser line reveals its main advantage with measurement tasks involving pure distance change in the Z direction. With movements in X or Y directions, these models also deliver more stable measurement values than comparable point sensors.
Another special feature is the combination of compact size, high speed and high precision. The sensors are extremely dynamic, with a high measurement frequency, unrivalled immunity to ambient light and very fast exposure adjustment.
