Testoon, distributor of measurement, test and control equipment, opens its new calibration laboratory for diagnostic equipment: Testoon Lab, for electricity, gas and distance measuring equipment (Codiag+, Leica Disto, Fluke 1663, Sefram, MW9660, etc.).
Testoon Lab offers three calibration and verification services for diagnosticians:
- Carbon monoxide measuring devices;
- Multifunction electrical installation controllers;
- Laser rangefinders.
This involves setting up test benches and defining procedures to determine whether or not the device is correctly adjusted to the set objectives. This integrated laboratory is thus able to generate a calibration certificate or verification report.
Three initial test benches are proposed for the start-up of the laboratory: an electrical bench, designed to test all configurations of electrical safety measuring devices; a gas verification bench, consisting of probes and chambers into which a standard gas, carbon monoxide, is introduced; and a bench dedicated to the verification of laser rangefinders. Each of these calibrators is connected to a higher-level laboratory via a standard chain.
In the event of non-conformity, Testoon offers adjustment of the equipment by the laboratory or the manufacturer, repair or replacement of the device.
Advantages over a conventional laboratory
With this new service offering, diagnosticians have access to a service designed for them, certifying the accuracy of their measurements. By avoiding the need for multiple subcontractors, Testoon guarantees shorter turnaround times than laboratories. Testoon also offers the possibility of adjusting non-compliant equipment, or repairing and exchanging equipment in the event of breakdown.
"As professionals who use measuring and diagnostic equipment, property diagnosticians need to check and maintain their equipment regularly to ensure the accuracy of their diagnosis. Testoon now offers a metrology service adapted to this need, with costs and timescales compatible with this activity", said Jean-Michel Catherin, President of Testoon.
