Vaisala, a global specialist in meteorological, environmental and industrial measurement, presents its new Indigo510 transmitter, compatible with all Indigo smart probes. It includes, among other things, a modular stand for one probe at a time and a large touchscreen display for viewing local data.

The new Indigo510 is the latest Indigo transmitter and is part of this range of Vaisala products compatible with Vaisala's Indigo measuring probes, which are highly prized in the industrial sector. The Indigo510 is based on the same modular platform and is equipped with the same metal housing, software and display as Vaisala's flagship, the Indigo520 transmitter. The Indigo510 is also available without a display.

Targeted performance

Vaisala's Indigo510 transmitter is ideal for demanding industrial applications that require accurate and accurate measurements of a single parameter at a time. Its rugged IP66 and NEMA4 metal housing provides reliable performance in the harshest environments.

The sleek transmitter has been designed to meet the customer's requirements. "Not all of our customers need all the features available on the modern Indigo520 transmitter. Some customers needed a simpler solution with support for a single probe, without giving up the benefits of modularity. The Indigo510 transmitter meets their needs,"says Juhani Lehto, Product Manager, Industrial Measurements at Vaisala.

Any Indigo-compatible measuring probe can be easily attached to the Indigo510 transmitter. "With the Indigo510, our customers can measure humidity, dew point, oil moisture, temperature, carbon dioxide and vaporized hydrogen peroxide while ensuring they can trust the reliability, accuracy and high-performance data chain of the Indigo ecosystem. The new transmitter provides the quality and performance that Vaisala is known for in a module at a more affordable but equally robust price,"concludes Juhani Lehto.

Compared to a standalone probe, the Indigo510 transmitter expands the possibilities for display, connectivity, supply voltage and wiring. In addition, customers benefit from regular updates of the platform and software.

A modular ecosystem

Vaisala's unique and growing Indigo product line ensures measurement stability and reliability in different applications and industrial environments to help customers meet energy efficiency, safety and finished product quality in industrial applications.

The Indigo range is a modular ecosystem with interchangeable smart probes, rugged transmitters and Vaisala's intuitive software, Indigo Insight PC. The probes can be used autonomously without a transmitter or with the Indigo500 or Indigo200 series transmitters to expand their characteristics. Thanks to the modular plug-and-play design, the probes and transmitters in the Indigo range are easy to install, use and maintain.
