An innovative digital technology combining the simplicity and speed of a smoke probe with the quality of a 3D measurement scan has been launched in France by EvoMesure, experts in physical measurement and metrology.
ProCap, from Swiss manufacturer Streamwise, enables real-time visualization of a 3D velocity vector and its interpolation to a complete flow field, providing instant insight into the quality of aerodynamic measurements.
Simply guide the probe into the relevant flow zone. The probe's instantaneous trajectory is precisely tracked by a camera system, measured data is interpolated and the flow field is instantly visualized by the user. This system enables intuitive real-time flow scanning and mapping.
The ProCap system guides the user to the area to be studied and naturally improves the quality of the measurement, saving valuable and costly measurement time in the wind tunnel.
This innovative system comprises a multi-hole instrumented probe calibrated with optical markers, a tracking camera and software, plus a laptop computer with ProCap software pre-installed. In addition to the system, a comprehensive service and support package is available from EvoMesure.
EvoMesure will manage French and Belgian customer requests for the ProCap product range, which includes ProCap Compact and Professional.
