Preciv software enables users specialized in the production, quality control and inspection sectors to perform accurate and repetitive 2D measurements and obtain results that comply with the latest industry standards. With its high level of security and advanced data sharing features, Preciv software improves the speed and efficiency of your microscopy analyses.

Take control of your microscope

Preciv software turns any manual microscope into a complete imaging and measurement platform. The software can control all Olympus standard industrial microscopes, their coded functions, Olympus motorized lens turrets and Olympus digital microscope cameras. It is compatible with light background, dark field and polarized light imaging modes, with combined directional dark field observation mode (MIX) and interferential contrast (DIC). In addition, its color rendering and high resolution make it possible to obtain high-quality images.

Easy-to-use measurement tools

Simple to use, the intuitive interface of the software includes a navigation tab that groups the different functions of the software (observation, acquisition, measurement, etc.) thanks to clearly identified buttons. Advanced settings remain hidden for new users, while experienced users can easily access all available settings and functions. The home screen can be customized to quickly access the most used settings and functions.

Repetitive 2D measurements

The Preciv software makes it possible to perform precise and repetitive two-dimensional measurements on an image being acquired or recorded. Its state-of-the-art features such as automatic edge detection* (to reliably measure the distance between two points), auxiliary lines* (to easily perform complex geometric measurements) and magic wand function (for automatic detection of areas on the sample) allow users to obtain reliable data.

It is also simple to obtain perfectly tuned images beyond the microscope's field of observation. The Extended Depth of Field Imaging (EFI) feature allows multiple images to be acquired successively across different focal planes, while the pan feature allows users to move the turntable across the entire sample and then assemble the different shots into a single large image. Preciv software now allows you to combine instant and panoramic EFI functions while keeping both hands on the microscope.

For advanced uses such as grain size analysis and non-metallic inclusions, optional material features guide users through every step needed to acquire measurements that comply with the latest international standards, including ISO, ASTM and JIS.

Connectivity for efficiency

Preciv software comes with powerful data sharing and security capabilities.** Using a connected desktop, users can easily save images and configuration files to the cloud or network drive, receive automatic software updates and security patches, use a concurrent use license, and upgrade to new versions. Images can be saved and loaded in multiple formats, or saved in JPEG format with the corresponding calibration information for traceability purposes. Sharing methods and configuration files (measurements, image processing settings, material solution settings, etc.) between connected workstations makes it quick and easy to transmit the right information to the right person.

* Available with Preciv Pro and Preciv Desktop.

** Olympus may provide a Medical Device Security (MDS²) Manufacturer's Statement dedicated to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
