The new LW2720 compact level sensor from ifm electronic enables precise, dead zone-free monitoring of liquid media levels in tanks up to 10 meters high.
Thanks to the non-contact radar measurement principle, sensor malfunctions and failures due to the adhesion of viscous fluids or collisions with agitators are ruled out.
The 80 GHz frequency used guarantees stable, millimeter-accurate measurement results, even when steam or condensate is present in the tank. The sensor is designed for use in aseptic areas, so that even CIP and SIP processes or the use of wash balls do not affect it.
This sensor, which communicates via integrated IO-Link, stands out for its ease of use: it can be set and read remotely, and requires no maintenance. Installation takes just a few minutes.
