Cetim, a Carnot-labelled mechanical technological institute, obtains Cofrac* accreditation for the calibration of standard parts and control jigs carried out on a coordinate measuring machine.
Erroneous measures certainly lead to serious consequences, especially financial... Not to mention the confidence that has been damaged. Having the certainty that the results obtained are good are therefore essential and the use of standards and templates is an essential step.
Nevertheless, these two types of parts also need to be calibrated. The use of calibration covered by Cofrac accreditation makes it possible to ensure the traceability of measurement results to the international system of units. In addition, standard parts allow manufacturers to use conventional values to evaluate the capabilities of their different means of measurement.
A new service to which Cetim can now respond since March 3, 2022 with the Cofrac Calibration accreditation n°2-1114 relating to calibrations carried out on a coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
The ISO 17025 accreditation issued by Cofrac guarantees the evaluation of measurement uncertainties as well as the impartiality and competence of the laboratory to comply with ISO GPS standards in the calculation of measurement results.
Beyond recognition in many countries, the calibration certificate can facilitate trade and allow access to new markets.
