K7K92201 test interface for i7090 tester

A high-performance, high-quality mechanical test interface designed for the Keysight i7090 tester.

Developed by H+W Tests Products, one of the world's largest manufacturers of test mounting kits, and distributed exclusively by Cotelec in France, Spain, Portugal and North Africa, the new K7K92201 Mechanical Test Interface has been designed specifically for the new Keysight i7090 online automatic tester.

For the record, launched at the end of 2021, the Keysight i7090 tester allows massively parallel tests to be performed on several printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) in order to achieve a high volume throughput.

Like the various test devices for circuit testers, functional and combinatorial for users of automated test systems (ATE) manufactured by H+W Test Products, the new K7K92201 mechanical test interface benefits from a high-end and very high quality design.

A formidablely efficient mechanical solution, this new test interface has the great particularity of being equipped with no less than 20 parallel cores that offer flexible scalability and configuration, as well as the possibility of performing tests on several units under test (UUT).

In addition, the new K7K92201 test interface allows for production testing as needed and offers the advantage of having a low total cost of ownership in large or very high volume manufacturing, reducing investment in the system. The small footprint of the system, 600 mm wide, saves space and reduces cycle time.

Another important feature is the new K7K92201 test interface that includes powerless testing and extended performance vectorless testing (nanoVTEP) technologies for component testing to reap the benefits of faster test throughput, lower mounting, and higher defect coverage.

An interface carefully designed for easy integration and programming.

From a practical point of view, the K7K92201 test interface brings significant advantages in terms of integration and use:

  • Instrument integration with Keysight's OpenTAP software, within the same platform, for efficient functional test measurements and PXI support for Keysight and third-party instruments.
  • Support for cross-platform hardware in a standard 48cm rack for functional integration.
  • The integration of programming functions allows programming in the system with 160 channels in parallel, which increases the throughput of the system.

Finally, from a technical point of view, this new interface benefits from a carefully thought out conception and design with:

> A basic base including:

. A block of rear transfer I/O (I.D.) rivets.

. A 0.300" [7.6 mm] stripping plate.

. A 0.400" [10.1 mm] probe plate.

. Three alignment sockets.

> A presser frame including:

. A block of rear transfer I/O (I.D.) rivets.

. A 0.375" [9.5 mm] pressure plate.

. Three alignment pins.

. Interior support poles.

> A 96-point interface rivet assembly block.
