Trescal, world leader in metrology services, has announced the acquisition of Cincinnati Precision Instruments (CPI) in Ohio, USA, CRT Cleanroom-Technology in Germany and Switzerland, and Electronica Industrial de Alverca (EIA) in Portugal. These three companies have combined sales of €16 million. Trescal has made a total of 42 acquisitions since its takeover by Omers.
Founded in 1962, Cincinnati Precision Instruments offers metrology services and is accredited in nine fields, including humidity, hardness and pressure. CPI operates mainly in the automotive and aerospace sectors. This acquisition enables Trescal to extend its geographical coverage in southern Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.
CRT Cleanroom-Technology has two laboratories in Alsdorf, Germany, and Stein, Switzerland, and offers calibration and qualification services for cleanrooms. This acquisition strengthens Trescal's healthcare expertise in Central Europe, with particular skills in particle counting, microbial sampling, thermal process qualification and flow visualization.
Founded in 1989, EIA specializes mainly in the health and food sectors, with two accredited laboratories in Lisbon and Porto. EIA's accreditations reinforce Trescal's expertise in calibration, testing and legal metrology on the Iberian Peninsula. Trescal becomes the leading provider of metrology and qualification services in Portugal.
Guillaume Caroit, General Manager of the Trescal Group: " These acquisitions illustrate our determination to develop our offering for the healthcare and agri-food sectors. These sectors will account for almost 25% of our sales by the end of 2022. "
