The marine transportation industry, and in particular the gas industry, has made the ecological transition a central part of its strategy. This is illustrated by new transport and storage technologies. Wimesure offers gas detection solutions adapted to this industrial sector.
On the one hand, a gas sensor, the GTR 210 Med, suitable for Atex 1 zones, accompanied by a gas leak detection system, Flex 914 Med, which can manage up to 12 sensors simultaneously.
These two complementary devices ensure safety on ships during transport, thanks to Atex Zone 1 certification, Wheelmark marking of marine equipment, and DNVGL certification.
The GTR 210 Med is a sensor for detecting flammable, toxic and oxygen gases.
It converts the determined measurement signal into a physical concentration variable, displays it on a 3-color screen and transmits the gas concentration via a 4...20mA interface to the evaluation unit. Both software and hardware are certified to Sil1 safety integrity level.
Gases measured :
Hydrogen - Methane / LNG - Propane - Alkane (up to Hexane) - Oxygen - Carbon Dioxide - Hydrogen Sulfide - Refrigerants.
Flex 914 Med is a multi-channel gas leak detector. It continuously monitors the ambient air and warns (by means of various alarms) of the presence of vapors of non-combustible explosive gases hazardous to health. This evaluation unit features a robust casing designed to withstand high mechanical stresses such as those encountered in the maritime sector.
For communication with master systems, signaling and alarming, Flex 914 Med offers the following interfaces:
- 17 potential-free contacts
- Various fieldbus interfaces (LonWorks, Modbus RTU, Profibus, ModBus TCP, ProfiNet)
Selectable measurement units :
- % Lie
- ppm
- % in flight
Configurable gases :
- CH4 Methane / LNG
- H2 Hydrogen
- O2 Oxygen
- CO2 Carbon dioxide
- H2S Hydrogen sulfide
- R134a Tetrafluoroethane
Areas of application :
- Explosion protection on LNG-, LPG- or LFL-powered vessels.
- Deflagration protection and inerting on tankers with LNG, CNG, oil, or liner
- Explosion protection at the LNG terminal
- Liquefied gas storage
- Monitoring refrigeration machine leaks
