Artec 3D, world-renowned developer and manufacturer of professional 3D hardware and software, has announced its participation in Formnext, the world's leading trade fair for additive manufacturing. This is an opportunity for Artec 3D to present a preview of its new solution The metrology kit.
The Artec metrology kit, for high-precision inspection down to 2 micrometers
At the beginning of October, Artec announced the launch of its metrology kit, a 3D optical coordinate measurement system which will be previewed at the Formnext trade show. With maximum precision, it makes it possible to analyze deformations with greater accuracy when measuring objects and areas of any size.
Available in two versions, professional and entry-level, the Artec Metrology Kit functions as a stand-alone optical measurement solution or as a referencing tool for 3D scanning performance. Fully transportable, the kit performs metrology-quality measurements in under 15 minutes and captures moving objects, ideal for both on-site and off-site projects.
The entire photogrammetry process can be carried out in Artec Studio 17 software, which will also be demonstrated at Formnext.
The Artec 3D Metrology Kit is already in use in a number of sectors, including the automotive industry, for quality control in construction processes; the aerospace and defense sectors, for simple, reliable inspection of aeronautical components, ships and wind turbines; and the energy sectors, such as oil and gas, for flange inspection at offshore sites in the North and Baltic Seas.
Thanks to this kit, Artec Leo or Artec Eva scanners can be used with guaranteed reliability, and volumetric accuracy can be increased by a factor of up to 14.
All the technologies presented at Formnext are used by Artec 3D and its partners in Ukraine to support and help them preserve their cultural heritage.
