Wika has launched a new isolation valve designed to meet the requirements of the process industry, particularly for applications involving natural gas and aggressive fluids.
The PBV-FS model is used for process isolation or pressure tapping.
The shut-off valve is designed with a floating ball and standard or reduced bore. Users can choose between a "block and bleed" or "double block and bleed" configuration. The PBV-FS model operates with low torque and low wear, and its surface is also corrosion-resistant.
The valve design allows compact installation and minimizes leakage. With regard to fugitive emission requirements, the PBV-FS model complies with Iso 15848-1 and is tested for fire safety in accordance with Api 607.
Main applications of the PBV-FS :
- Oil and gas industries, chemical and petrochemical industries, power plants, water and wastewater, shipbuilding.
- Process flow control for natural gas, oil and chemicals
- Connection of piping systems and equipment
- Interface between process and measuring instrument installations
Wika also offers its customers complete, customized assemblies of valves with the Wika measuring instruments that are to be associated with them. This type of solution is delivered ready to use and represents a real time and money saver. This assembly simplifies commissioning for the customer, thanks to a single order from a single supplier, and guarantees process safety, as these assemblies are systematically verified with leak tests.
