Ideal for 6.5-digit resolution digital multimeters, the Fluke Calibration 5560A is complemented by the new 5550A (5.5-digit) performance multi-product calibrator and 5540A multi-product calibration device (4.5 digits), which allow laboratories to improve accuracy while reducing costs and freeing up bench space.

Fluke, the global technology leader in the production of compact, professional electronic test and measurement tools and software, introduced its high-performance, high-performance, multi-product calibration device Fluke 5560A, which offers the widest spectrum of use and accuracy.

Meeting the demand of the high-end market for multi-product calibrators, the 5560A fits perfectly into the Fluke range, just ahead of the 5730A, multifunction and high-precision calibrator, designed for the calibration of 8.5-digit resolution digital multimeters. The 5560A is an ideal solution for calibrating digital multimeters (DMMs) up to 6.5 digits.

As the demand for calibration grows every year, the Fluke 5560A is the archetype of a new class of multi-product calibrators for new, inexperienced users who join the calibration business without much training. Key features of the Fluke 5560A include a large 7-inch touchscreen for intuitive operation, Visual Connection Management™ terminals, and an optional accessory for efficient calibration of digital multimeters with minimal or no cord changes. This robust and portable calibration device can also be automated using Met/Cal calibration management software.

Key benefits of the 5560A include quick handling and reduced maintenance, as well as the ability to calibrate a wider range of equipment using the same device. All of these contribute to significantly reducing the cost of ownership for calibration laboratories. The 5560A is also protected against potentially costly damage caused by incoming voltages or abnormal overloads.

To provide calibration labs with a new generation of advanced tools, Fluke Calibration is also launching the 5550A multi-product calibration device, an enhancement to the popular 5522A, to better meet existing DMM workloads. The 5550A significantly improves the accuracy of the 5522A, suitable for 5.5-digit DMMs, while offering more features. Featuring an intuitive graphical interface, the 5550A can calibrate the most popular pocket multimeters with increased test uncertainty ratios (Tur), and clamp meters up to 1,500 A with DC output (30 A).

The 5540A multi-product calibrator is another new addition to the Fluke Calibration lineup. It extends the capabilities of the 5502A with higher performance levels, making it an ideal solution for on-site or mobile calibration, for the most demanding field instrument applications. The 5540A is perfect for calibrating 4.5-digit high Tur resolution pocket multimeters and clamp meters up to 1,500 A with DC output. Improvements over the 5502A include a 20-30A increase in DC output current, and reduced wait times during heavy use. The temperature range of the calibrator is improved with a wider range of thermocouple types and a new quick-connect thermocouple connector. The 5540A can be fully calibrated with an 8.5-digit Fluke 8588A reference multimeter, paired with a shunt for the highest current range.

Wim Sibon, Fluke Calibration's Technical Sales Manager for Electrical Calibration in Europe, said: "In recent years, we have seen a growing demand from laboratories for greater accuracy of their calibration devices, while also wanting multi-product solutions that free up bench space and reduce costs. The 5560A calibrator exactly meets the needs of the market and will significantly improve the productivity of calibration laboratories worldwide. This will allow our customers to cope with the demand for more accurate measurements with a less experienced workforce. »

"Fluke Calibration is committed to providing calibration laboratories with the broadest possible calibration capabilities. Our latest additions to the range will allow lab technicians to confidently expand their existing uses. The 5502A and 5522A models have been widely used as universal tools in calibration laboratories for many years. We are excited to take their capabilities to the next level with the 5540A and 5550A multi-product calibrators. Backed by more than 50 years of continuous technical improvements, our range of powerful tools is the result of a lifelong commitment from some of the world's best calibration experts. At Fluke Calibration, we are passionate about metrology. »
