The Asgard Group continues its growth strategy by concluding on February 10, 2023, the acquisition of the assets of Newsteo through AOIP, its 100% subsidiary.
Newsteo, based in La Ciotat, has been offering a complete wireless sensor and measurement management solution for traceability, alerting and supervision purposes since 2005. IoT, smart sensors, radio transmission, low-speed communication, low consumption, long range are the technologies mastered by Newsteo to offer its customers monitoring systems for parameters such as temperature, pressure, humidity, shocks, ... in restrictive environments: monitoring of environmental conditions of manufacture, storage or transport in the cold chain, for foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, etc. Newsteo's gateways make it possible to report measurements to a local PC or to the Cloud, the Webmonitor application allowing management in the Cloud or on mobile or PC.
AOIP also supplies data acquisition systems worldwide primarily based on data loggers and wired sensors, supervised by its Visulog software. The integration of Newsteo will allow AOIP to strengthen the richness of its solutions and expand its ability to meet the needs of its customers.
The Newsteo metrology laboratory also offers Cofrac accredited temperature calibration services. The laboratory is integrated, alongside the other Cofrac Laboratories, by Sofimae.

Sofimae, merged with Semelec in 2018, with DPG in 2020 and with Thuel in 2022 and strengthened by the acquisition of Seca's Medixlab activities and ECME laboratory in 2022, is a metrology company offering services, verification, calibration, maintenance and fleet management carried out on site or in its laboratories. Sofimae has eleven Cofrac accreditations (Temperature, Pressure, Acceleration, Time – Frequency, Electricity – Magnetism, Ionizing Radiation, Radiometry – Photometry and Dimensional) and operates from its laboratories based in the Paris region, the Lille region and Nevers.
