A major European meeting place for all industrial ecosystems, Global Industrie's annual GI Awards reveal the innovations that are helping to improve production systems and win back industry.
Divided into 6 categories (Production Technology; Peripheral Technology; Digital Transition; Eco-responsibility; Exemplary Partnership and Start-up), 108 services and products were in the running for the 2023 award. After an initial selection by industry experts, the nominated companies defended their applications at an oral presentation to industry representatives and journalists.
The awards ceremony will take place at the show, on Tuesday March 7, 2023, at 5pm (conference room - Hall 2).
Simplicity, versatility and complementarity could be the key words that characterize the 23 innovations selected to compete in the 5e GI Awards 2023.
The solutions presented this year are much more intuitive to use. This means that machines and software adapt to users, and not the other way round, as demonstrated by workshop and machine control systems that are increasingly intuitive to use and easy to understand. It's no longer up to operators to spend hours learning how to use the machine or software, but rather for the latter to adapt to operators, thanks to ultra-simple interfaces, in the spirit of a tablet for example.
The factory of the future continues to evolve, with man and machine working together in symbiosis and in complete safety. Such is the case with robots, which are moving away from their welding, painting or assembly functions to become mobile and increasingly collaborative with the operator, while preserving his or her safety. Similarly, the digital twin becomes an ally and a skills gas pedal.
In addition to the process itself, manufacturers are keen to showcase their know-how through the presentation of finished or semi-finished products, as some of the 2023 applications reveal.
Finally, many of the proposals accompanying the CSR transition companies are presented this year, responding to the expectations of our society.
