A major European event for all industrial ecosystems, Global Industrie reveals, each year, through the GI Awards, innovations that contribute to the improvement of production systems and industrial reconquest.
Divided into 6 categories (Production Technology; Peripheral technology; Digital transition; Eco-responsibility; Exemplary Partnership and Start-up), 108 services and products were in the running in 2023. After a first selection made by industry experts, the nominated companies defended their case during an oral in front of industrialists and journalists.
The awards ceremony will take place at the show on Tuesday 7 March 2023 at 5pm (conference room – Hall 2).
Simplicity, versatility, complementarity could be the key words that characterize the 23 innovations selected to compete in the5th edition of the GI Awards 2023.
The solutions presented this year call for much more intuitiveness in their use. Thus machines or software adapt to users and not the other way around, as evidenced by workshop control systems or machines that are increasingly intuitively understandable and easy to implement. It is no longer up to operators to train for hours to tame the machine or software but to adapt to operators thanks to ultra-simple interfaces, in the spirit of a tablet for example.
The factory of the future continues its evolution with a man/machine duo working together, in symbiosis and in complete safety. This is the case of robots that leave their welding, painting or assembly functions to become mobile and increasingly collaborative with the operator, while preserving his safety. Similarly, the digital twin becomes an ally and a skills accelerator.
In addition to the process, manufacturers wish to promote their know-how through the presentation of finished or semi-finished products, as revealed by some applications in 2023.
Finally, many proposals accompanying the CSR transition of companies are presented this year, meeting the expectations of our society.
Winner in the "Production Technology" category
This category rewards major technological innovations dedicated to the production chain: from materials (metals, plastics, composites, components, etc.), to different manufacturing techniques: additive manufacturing/3D printing; printed electronics; machining by material removal; forge & foundry; sheet metal but also production automation techniques; robotics; measurement, control, line vision; finishing solutions (surface treatments); all fluids and solids inherent in production (inks, alloys, flux, cutting oil, parts cleaning products, etc.).
- Numalliance : Bending roller with integrated fold eraser
Numalliance presents the first bending roller with integrated fold eraser. A patented system, compatible regardless of the diameter of the tube.
Winner in the "Peripheral Technology" category
This category rewards major technological innovations dedicated to the machine environment and process optimization: software and NC; Automation; cobotics; palletization; measurement, control, offline vision; operating fluids (energy, maintenance, traceability, etc.).
- Protect Choc (Totem Group): Detection-alert systems – LightUs range
