Micro-Epsilon presents the optoNCDT 1710-1000, a laser sensor with a measuring range of 1 m. The measuring range starts at 1 m from the sensor, so the range is 2 m. The sensor is housed in a compact case and operates with an integrated controller measuring 200x83x48 mm. Measurement rate is 2.5 kHz and resolution 100 µm (without averaging). Available output types are 4-20 mA, 0-10 V, RS422 or USB.
The optoNCDT 1710-1000 is particularly suitable for measuring objects with a large range of movement. It can also be used where the object is located in harsh environmental conditions or in a vacuum, and more generally wherever it is not possible to mount the sensor close to the object. Like all other models in the 1700 series, the optoNCDT 1710-1000 also features the unique RTSC real-time surface appearance compensation system. This device ensures a quality signal, even in the event of changes in the reflective properties of the surface of the object to be measured.
