Micro-Epsilon presents under the reference optoNCDT 1710-1000 a laser sensor with a measuring range of 1 m. The measuring range starts from 1 meter away from the sensor, so the range is 2 m. The sensor is housed in a compact housing and it works with an integrated 200x83x48mm controller. The measurement rate is 2.5 kHz and the resolution is 100 µm (without averaging). The available output types are 4-20 mA, 0-10 V, RS422 or USB.
The optoNCDT 1710-1000 is particularly intended for measuring objects with a large margin of movement. It can also be used when the object is in harsh environmental conditions or in a vacuum, and more generally anywhere where it is not possible to mount the sensor near the object. Like all other models in the 1700 series, the optoNCDT 1710-1000 also features the unique real-time surface change compensation device: RTSC. This device thus makes it possible to obtain a quality signal, even in the event of changes in the reflecting properties of the surface of the object to be measured.
