Creaform, which specializes in 3D optical measurement technologies and 3D engineering services, has just announced to Control (which took place last week in Stuttgart), the Vxtrack dynamic measurement module. This one is part of VXelements, Creaform'sproprietary 3D data acquisition software. By combining the VXtrack module with the C-Track dual-camera optical sensor, it is possible to measure positions and orientations in space simultaneously, continuously and with great precision. Combined with handyPROBE-free portable coordinate measurement machine, it's a complete portable 3D measurement solution that is used for both palping and dynamic measurement.
VXtrack offers a measurement rate of up to 24,000 3D points/second with oversampling, expandable measurement volume, real-time curve display, an API for interfacing with third-party applications, and an acquisition synchronization function with an external trigger signal. Its applications are numerous and include calibration and robot guidance, tracking complex assembly processes, clearing real-time machining machine errors and tracking deformations during testing phases. VXtrack is useful in a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, robotics, biomechanics and non-destructive testing.
Creaform is a Canadian company founded in May 2002 and has been present in France since February 2005.
