Created by Eduard Wille in 1862 in Wuppertal (Germany), Stahlwille today employs 600 people and boasts world-renowned expertise, particularly in dynamometry. It is in this very field that the company has just won an award from the jury of the International Forum Design (IF) association, which highlights innovative products and presents its annual "IF Product Design Award". The competition is a highly competitive one: 1,121 candidates from 43 countries entered 2,756 products in 2011. From these entries, the jury selected winners in 16 categories.
IF Product Design Award for Stahlwille is PerfectControl, an automated calibration and adjustment bench for torque wrenches. Quickly installed and plugged in, it can be operated with just three buttons. It is particularly well-suited to industrial users who have a large stock of torque wrenches, or who need to calibrate them on a daily basis.
The equipment features an electric drive combined with intelligent control, considerably reducing calibration effort and time. The ball screw mounted on precision bearings and the fine-tuned motor control eliminate measurement errors due to incorrect handling.
Stahlwille has extensive experience of calibration benches. Since 1997, its calibration laboratory has been accredited by the Deutsche Kalibrierdienst to calibrate torque wrenches and issue DKD calibration certificates.
