Created on March 28, 1988, by public institutions, professional and economic development organizations and companies, the Mediterranean Institute of Quality ( IMQ ) has acquired a solid competence for its services in dimensional metrology (it has a fleet of ten measuring machines, representing an investment of € 4 million). It is now entering a new phase in its history. It joined forces with A + Métrologie ( Apave group) and this operation was accompanied by the creation of the “ Regional Center for Innovation and Expertise in Metrology ” ( CIEM ). This entity will offer commercial services (therefore paying), with the mission of offering regional SMEs and SMIs a complete metrology service, in all fields and all physical sizes (concept of a one-stop shop, with business orientation towards service providers. best suited to their needs). The ICES will be managed by A + Métrologie .
Antonio Mazzei, director of the IMQ , is delighted with this development: " We will be able to refocus on our business, that is to say, strengthen our positioning as a technological partner and adapt metrology to the needs of the company. . The IMQ is there to invent and innovate ”.
