Market Research has just published a study on the automotive sensor market, showing that the market for this type of sensor will increase from $14.5 billion in 2011 to $20.7 billion in 2016, representing an average annual growth of 7.4% over this period.
This is rather good news after the bad passage of 2008 /2009. Between 2004 and 2009, the U.S., European and Japanese markets fell by 9%, 2% and 4% per year, respectively, while emerging markets in Brazil, China and India grew by 14%, 26% and 12% annually, respectively.
