According to market research firm Flow Research, the pressure transmitter market is expected to grow from $2.4 billion in 2010 to $3.22 billion in 2015, representing an average annual growth rate of 6.1%.
Among the different types of pressure transmitters, multivariate models will experience the greatest growth. In the future, differential pressure transmitters will continue to be widely used to perform flow measurements, even though competition from Coriolis, ultrasonic and electromagnetic flow meters is growing.
