The Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, Transport and Housing provides 30 municipalities with portable dosimeters to measure levels of exposure to electromagnetic fields.
These are EME Spy 140 models from Microwave Vision,designed and manufactured by the Brest-based establishment of Satimo,a wholly owned subsidiary of the Microwave Vision Group. They are part of the company's industrial control division and are one of the focus of its business strategy.
"Opportunities to develop and diversify our know-how continue in several sectors. In 2011, our efforts were increased, among other things, on small control equipment. This French contract is an example of this," explains Philippe Garreau, the group's president.
The EME Spy 140 dosimeters allow a detailed analysis of the exposure levels generated by the main Radio services (FM, TV, Telephony,...). With a new "real-time" kit, the field levels measured for each frequency band are displayed gradually on a tablet.
