Readers of THE journal PTB (Photonic Tech Briefs)have named Hexagon Metrology's Cognitens WL400A/M White Light 3D Optical Measurement System as one of the three products of 2011. This award is for the most promising new products in the field of photonics engineering.
The white light measurement systems Cognitens WLS400M (manual model) and Cognitens WLS400A (automatic model) use stereo vision technology to generate 3D data. They incorporate LED technology to measure or retro-design a wide variety of surface finishes. Cognitens WLS400M is the only high-performance 3D white light scanner that can be used in portable mode.
Remember thatHexagon Metrology has leading brands in dimensional metrology such as Brown and Sharpe, Cognitens, DEA, Leica Geosystems (Metrology Division), Leitz, Inprocess Messtechnik, Optiv, PC-DMIS, Quindos, Romer and Tesa. The Hexagon Metrology brands represent a global base of multi-million MMT installed machines, portable measuring systems and manual instruments, and tens of thousands of metrology software licenses.
