In response to major projects, Symmetry has launched the construction of a new building of 400 m2 and 9 meters high, adjacent to the pre-existing 600 m2 premises in Nimes. This expansion is mainly intended for the assembly and qualification of very large hexapods. These six-cylinder robots will be used to simulate the swell to train crews in the marine field or to test the resistance of tanks to hydrodynamic efforts.
The extension will also house a meeting room and additional offices. Delivery of this new building is scheduled for this summer.
In order to meet the growing demands of space and optical environments, an ISO 7-class cleanroom will be installed to minimize the presence of particles such as dust and thus facilitate the integration of "clean" and compatible empty hexapods.
