A new president has just been elected at the general meeting of the SNCT (National Union of Boilermaking, Pipe and Industrial Maintenance) on Friday, June 1, 2012: François Rieffel
The 58-year-old business leader was unanimously elected 16th President of the SNCT minus one vote by SNCT directors. Director of ACM (Monplaisir's cauldron workshops), he has spent his entire career in boilermaking and piping. He started his career with Audincourt Rhône-Alpes, a subsidiary of Boccard. He then joined ACM where he has worked for 30 years. Initially recruited from the technical management, François Rieffel rose through the ranks to become ceo. He is also General Manager of the ACR (Rock BoilerMaking Workshops).
He is very familiar with the SNCT, having been Chairman of the Technical Committee for six years and President of the South-East Regional Section for 9 years. From 2008 until his election, François Rieffel was also Chairman of the Ethics Committee of the SNCT.
François Rieffel, a man of commitment, is actively active in defending the boiler-pipe and industrial maintenance trades. He will serve as President of the SNCT from 26 September 2012 for a three-year term, renewable once.
