The Swiss company Endress-Hauser has just taken control of the American company SpectraSensors, thus strengthening its presence in the gas analysis market, particularly in the oil and gas sectors. Founded in 2001 and based in Houston, SpectraSensors offers gas analyzers using laser spectroscopy technologies for pipelines and petrochemical production units. The company employs 90 people and has sales of approximately $30 million. SpectraSensors will retain a wide range of autonomy within Endress-Hauser, but it is clear that synergies, both in the research and development and commercial, will play out to the full.
