Bureau Veritas completed the acquisition of Shanghai Davis Testing Technology, a Chinese company specializing in automotive equipment testing. Established in 2007, Shanghai Davis Testing Technology provides automotive and electronics manufacturers with services to evaluate and improve the performance and reliability of their products. The company offers safety inspections, design studies, failure analyses as well as product and materials qualification and testing at its Shanghai-based laboratory. Shanghai Davis Testing Technology employs 24 people and generated sales of 1.3 million euros in 2011.Following the recent integration of ECL in Germany, Shanghai Davis Testing Technology represents a new opportunity for Bureau Veritas to strengthen its automotive supply service offering and enter this segment in China, the world's largest automotive market.
