The multi variable Vortex M23 insertion flow meter developed by VORTEK allows the measurement of mass flow offset by temperature or pressure in the case of saturated steam or temperature and pressure for overheated steam or gas. It has three measuring elements a vortex sensor, an RTD temperature sensor and a pressure sensor. Based on the principle of frequency-based measurement, it offers great accuracy with a range of up to 100:1.
Easy to install and put into service, it amounts to insertion for all DN50 to DN1000 pipes. It features a robust 316L stainless steel design with no removable parts and no contact with fluid. Its electronics can be mounted in full or deported.
With several 4-20mA analog outputs, pulse totalizer, alarms or HART and modbus communication protocols, it is suitable for specific applications.
While other flow meters using the same measurement principle require the purchase of a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor to obtain a multi variable measurement, the M23 already incorporates it allowing cost reductions to be achieved in purchase and installation.
Its ATEX approval allows it to be installed in a hazardous environment in an integral or deported manner.
