The British group Spectris (Bruel-Kjaer, HBM, NDC Infrared Engineering, Nicolet, Malvern Instruments, etc.) announces a new acquisition: it is the American company Analytical Spectral Devices, specialized years spectroscopy in near-infrared for applications of research on materials. For the transaction to be effective, it is necessary to wait for the agreement of the shareholders of Analytical Spectral Devices.
Within Spectris, Analytical Spectral Devices will be part of the Materials Analysis division, which already includes Malvern Instruments, PANalytical and Particle Measuring Systems. Founded in 1990, Analytical Spectral Devices employs about 50 people and is known (apart from near-infrared instruments) for its X-ray analysis instruments.
