Stemmer Imaging has just signed a partnership agreement with Mitsubishi for the distribution of the Japanese company's image sensors in Europe. Mitsubishi has long specialized in copier applications and more generally high-speed document scanning. With its new KD series, with a Camera Link interface, it is resolutely attacking industrial applications, including electronic card control, product-printed pattern reading, and LCD screen control.
These sensors are available in widths of 30 to 92 cm, with a resolution of 600 dpi, a working distance of 12 mm and the ability to make readings on objects scrolling up to 96 cm/s.
