Metrologic Group offers a new technology offering: X4 i-Robot, a robotic 3D measurement solution in line with Metrolog X4.

The X4 i-Robot technology, suitable for all industrial robots, provides a precise, reliable and flexible production metrology solution. X4 i-Robot is perfect for applications that require productivity and flexibility while offering high metrological accuracy.

  • Measurement accuracy completely independent of that of the robot.
  • Perfect synchronicity between the robot's measurements and movements.
  • Full control of the robot's trajectories from Metrolog X4.

The X4 i-Robot measurement system is based on a very high-speed laser acquisition scanner embedded at the end of a multi-axis robot wrist. The robot, of any type and brand, without specific precision, behaves like a simple carrier tool. The measurement is accurate either by a separate tracking camera that tracks the laser sensor case equipped with infrared positioning LEDs, or by a laser tracker system. The typical accuracy is in the order of 100 m.
