The British group Spectris (Malvern, HBM, Breel - Kjaer, LDS Test - Measurement, nCode, PANalytical, etc.) has just bought the American company ADS, a manufacturer of near-infrared spectroscopy instruments. The transaction amounted to $14 million.
Within the group, ASD will be integrated into the Materials Analysis division and be brought closer to PANalytical, which offers X-fluorescence spectrometry (XRF) and X-ray diffraction (XRF) instruments. Remember that PANalytical is the result of Philips'instrumentation business.
