Made during the Paris Air Show, the announcement made less noise than the flights of the new planes or the explosion of the order books of the manufacturers. But in the world of measurement, it is important. This is the launch of the French alliance SEMI in the field of simulation, testing and instrumentation measurement for aeronautics. Most of the companies involved are SMEs and the aim is to be able to present more complete solutions when major contractors launch tenders for the completion of test benches in the field of aeronautics.
The SEMI association brings together two laboratories(ENSEA andENSTA ParisTech)and fourteen companies. Among these, we find some large groups like Dassault Systems or Safran-Messier Bugatti Dowty, but especially SMEs(Silkan, Avantis Technology, Celians, ControlSys, BCSA Gear, Nexyad, RMS, SDI, Sysma or Texense).
The association, hosted by the asTech Paris Regioncompetitiveness cluster, will also play an educational role in promoting the technologies developed by its members.
