Initially specialized in the design of electronic products, the French group Asgard had made a foray into the world of instrumentation by taking control in 2003 of the iconic AOIP, then in great difficulty. What then appeared to be an opportunity has in fact become a real policy of diversification. In 2010, Asgard took over Alliansys (subcontracting, specialized among other things in measurement), Sofimae (maintenance, calibration and repair of test and measurement equipment) and Eurotron Instruments (calibration, infrared thermometry and combustion gas analysis). It is now the turn of Dimelco (22 people, 4.2 million euros in 2012 sales) to come under the control ofAsgard. This company, which was in the process of legal redress, specializes in the distribution of measuring and testing instruments.
Asgard now generates about 60% of its turnover in the world of instrumentation.
Asgard is also the parent company of Noxhom, which develops and manufactures alarm systems for individuals and professional premises as well as approved alarm systems for swimming pools.
