With its newest USB 3.0 camera, IDS has the ideal solution for all applications implemented in critical lighting and speed conditions, such as industrial vision, biometrics and diagnostics, intelligent transport systems and astronomy. The USB 3 uEye CP camera, equipped with the near-infrared version of the advanced CMOSIS 4.2-megapixel sensor, provides twice as much near-infrared sensitivity as the standard sensor version (16% vs. 8%). And defects invisible to the human eye are now visible.

The sensor is particularly well suited for applications in the solar panel and surface control sector. With a 1-inch square optical format and 2048×48 pixel resolution, the sensor perfectly inspects large areas or round surfaces in every detail. This reduces the number of cameras used and, therefore, the overall costs. The range of new specific functions, specific to IDS, and the sensor's Global Shutter shutter guarantee detailed, crystalline and undenformed images in all environments.

In addition, the UI-3370 CP-NIR camera is the perfect tool for high-speed computer control in a wide range of applications and can easily replace a linear camera, thanks to the IDS trigger technique, which captures 8,000 frames per second.

In addition to this new UI-3370 CP-NIR camera, twelve USB 3 uEye CP models are already available, with a wide variety of resolutions, from 5-megapixel VGA to a lightweight, compact magnesium case. With a C-mount lens, lockable USB 3.0 and Hirose connectors, a serial interface and an opto-coupled trigger and flash, the cameras fit easily into industrial applications.
