Trescal, a global specialist in metrology and calibration services, announces the acquisition of the assets of U.S. companies Instrument Calibration Services and Test Equipment Repair Corp. , specialized, as the name suggests, in calibrating and repairing measuring instruments. These companies, located in Atlanta, Georgia and accredited by A2LA, have sales of $4.2 million and employ 24 people.
With these new acquisitions, Trescal's sales (pro forma) reached 181 million euros. The company operates 67 laboratories and employs more than 1,800 people worldwide. In addition to the usual technical services of verification, calibration and repair of instruments, it offers its expertise in the implementation and acquisition of measurement systems, customized and computerized solutions for fleet management, training and technical and metrological support.
These new transactions confirm the will displayed by Ardian, the investment company that bought Trescal in July 2013. This is the fourth acquisition in less than a year, and it is not over, as Thibault Basquin, Managing Director Mid Cap Buyout at Ardian says: "This new acquisition is part of our strategy announced at the acquisition of Trescal. TheArdian and Trescal teams have put in place an ambitious mechanism to accelerate the external growth policy and I have no doubt that further operations can be announced in the coming months. »
