In December 2014, Sappel became Diehl Metering SAS.
In 2003, the Hydrometer group, of which the French company Sappel was a part, joined the German group Diehl. From then on, the Diehl Metering division, made up of Hydrometer's various subsidiaries, was created. It accounts for 10% of the company's turnover, or $300 million for 1850 employees.
In the spirit of harmonization, Sappel will take the name Diehl Metering SAS in December 2014. The range of products (water, thermal energy, gas and electricity meters; and system solutions) remains unchanged.
