Pyroelectric Detectors Now Made In-House
The Laser Components Group expands its activities in the field of infrared detectors and acquires the majority of the shares of the manufacturer Microwatt Applications, LLC based in the United States.

Since July 2014, Microwatt has operated under the name Laser Components Pyro Group, Inc. and as a subsidiary of Laser Components Detector Group, Inc., which already successfully manufactures a line of various semiconductor detectors in the IR.
Microwatt's location in Florida will remain and will be gradually expanded.

Microwatt manufactures LiTaO3-based pyroelectric detectors for industrial gas analysis, medical technology, flame detection, and process control and pyroelectric detectors based on DLaTGS as a detection material used in primerium applications such as THE increasingly important FTIR spectrometers and THz in the market.
