Nicolas Orance, President of the EMC2 Cluster and Karine Daniel, Vice-President of Nantes Metropole in charge of higher education and research, have just signed a partnership agreement. Its aim is to support the development of EMC2 and stimulate innovation, to strengthen the attractiveness and competitiveness of the territory
This agreement formalizes a long-standing collaboration and exchanges between Nantes Metropole and the EMC2 cluster. It creates a crucial interface for collective challenges, such as the convergence between manufacturing and the digital world that comes together through the NantesTech initiative, or the launch of the Jules Verne Manufacturing Valley label, a symbol of an expert manufacturing ecosystem.
The support of Nantes Metropole, amounting to 150,000 euros over three years, covers three strategic axes:
- support for SMEs and mid-sized enterprises (ETIs),
- The pole's commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR),
- International visibility and attractiveness
For Karine Daniel, "signing this agreement allows us to affirm three major challenges for our Nantes Metropole: that of the maintenance and development of industrial jobs, that of the attractiveness of our territory and that of innovation. The EMC2 cluster fosters fertile encounters between players and develops an ecosystem of innovation and cooperation, it is the image of what we want for our metropolis.
Nicolas orance"For EMC2, the signing of this partnership agreement with Nantes Metropole is a real recognition of the work done in the service of the attractiveness and competitiveness of the territory. By building a dynamic innovation ecosystem for nearly 10 years, bringing together industrial and academic players in the field of advanced manufacturing, we have demonstrated our ability to serve local economic development. »
