Digital Surf, publisher of metrology and surface imaging software for microscopes and profileometers, and Image Metrology, publisher of near-field microscope image analysis software for nanotechnology, announce their alliance. Through this agreement, Digital Surf acquired all of Image Metrology's shares. The two companies continue to co-exist and retain their leaders. They plan to exchange their software technologies and know-how to provide the best of image analysis and surface metrology to their respective partners and users.
Image Metrology plans to release version 6.3 of its SPIP software in September 2014 with new grain and pore analysis features. Digital Surf will release version 7.2 of its Mountains software in November 2014 with new features for scanning electron microscopes.
