Faro Technologies announces the acquisition of The CAD Zone, Inc., a leading provider of software for the law enforcement accident and crime scene reconstruction market. CAD Zone's point cloud software application will be integrated with Faro's 3D laser scanner technology to provide a turnkey solution for crime scene applications and other forensic applications in the U.S. market.
Faro's continued effort to expand into the $8.3 billion forensic and police analysis technology market is part of its long-term expansion strategy to key vertical markets with its breakthrough technologies in metrology, imaging and 3D realization.
