Thomson Reuters has just published its ranking of innovative companies, the Top 100 Global Innovators. This year again, some French people were rewarded by appearing in this ranking. Among them, research centres: CNRS, CEA or IFP New Energy. And big companies: Alcatel Lucent, Arkema, Safran, Saint-Gobain and Snecma.
This survey takes into account not only the number of patents, but above all their quality, measured by their success rate (the difference between patents filed and those validated), their international scope and their influence (the number of times a patent of origin is cited by other applicants).
