Qualimatest announces the creation of QMT Group and the acquisition of the majority of the capital of Sapphire, a French expert in test benches and embedded systems for digital dynamic signal processing applications. The complementary know-how of Qualimatest and Sapphire will enable the development of a wide range of products and services.
QMT Group is thus positioning itself as a leader in solutions and expertise in the acquisition and processing of signals and images for testing, measurement and quality control in the French and Swiss markets. The aim is to respond more fully to the needs of a larger clientele. The formation of this group and the acquisition of Sapphire are part of Qualimatest's growth strategy and will enable the intensification of innovation dynamics on a common technological basis. The values shared between Qualimatest and Sapphire, such as ingenuity and reliability, will be the foundation of QMT Group.
The identity, teams and infrastructure of Plan-les-Ouates (Geneva, Switzerland) and Barraux (Isère, France) of Qualimatest and Sapphire are preserved. The Châlons couple, who currently own Sapphire, will remain involved to ensure the success of the transition while entrusting the general management of Saphir to Ludovic Bazin, a collaborator for 15 years and currently deputy director.
Ivan Meissner, Director of Qualimatest said: "We are extremely proud and delighted to integrate Sapphire into our group, this company is in synergy with our range of products and services in the field of quality control. In addition, Sapphire's industrial and geographic markets are complementary to qualimatest's. The creation of QMT Group opens a new page in our history, it will accelerate our growth."
"The sustainability of the company has been my main concern for 25 years and the rest at the time of my next departure," recalls Jean-Michel Châlons, founding director of Sapphire. I am confident that joining the QMT Group is the best future choice for the team I've been happy to lead."
