Qualimatest announces the creation of QMT Group and the acquisition of a majority stake in Saphir, a French expert in test benches and embedded systems for dynamic digital signal processing applications. The complementary know-how of Qualimatest and Saphir will enable the development of an extensive range of products and services.
QMT Group is thus positioned as a leader in solutions and expertise in signal and image acquisition and processing for test, measurement and quality control in the French and Swiss markets. The aim is to respond more fully to the needs of a broader customer base. The formation of this group and the acquisition of Saphir are in line with Qualimatest's growth strategy, and will enable the company to intensify its innovation drive on a common technological basis. The values shared by Qualimatest and Saphir, such as ingenuity and reliability, will be the foundation of the QMT Group.
Qualimatest and Saphir will retain their identities, teams and infrastructures in Plan-les-Ouates (Geneva, Switzerland) and Barraux (Isère, France). The Châlons couple, who currently own Saphir, will remain involved to ensure the success of the transition, while entrusting Saphir's general management to Ludovic Bazin, who has been with the company for 15 years and is currently deputy director.
Ivan Meissner, Managing Director of Qualimatest, comments ". We are extremely proud and delighted to integrate Saphir into our group, as this company is in synergy with our range of products and services in the field of quality control. What's more, Saphir's industrial and geographical markets complement those of Qualimatest. The creation of QMT Group opens a new page in our history, and will enable us to accelerate our growth. ".
" The long-term future of the company has been my main concern for 25 years, and will remain so when I leave, says Jean-Michel Châlons, founding director of Saphir. I'm confident that joining the QMT Group is the best choice for the future of the team I've enjoyed leading."
